  • Myth & Maker creates modular lanterns designed to tell stories through light. Each lantern uses interchangeable silhouette panels, allowing you to change the look and theme without replacing the entire lantern. One body. Many stories.

  • Yes - every lantern is 3D-printed, and quality checked in-house. This isn’t mass-produced decor. It’s functional art, built with care.

  • Our lanterns and panels are printed using durable, high-quality PETG filament. It’s lightweight, sturdy, and ideal for illuminated designs.

  • Each lantern uses a reusable lantern body with removeable silhouette panels. Panels slide in securely, allowing you to swap themes seasonally or whenever the mood strikes.

    (warning: collecting panels can become addictive.)

  • Lighting options can vary by listing. Complete lanterns do come with a light source, usually a USB color changing light puck with remote control. If available, the color changing light can be swapped with a white light upon request. Other light options can include battery operated tap/puck lights. Check the product description for details.

  • NO. These lanterns are designed for LED Lights ONLY. Please do not use open flames or high-heat producing bulbs.

  • Yes! Panel-only sets will be available very soon for customers who already own a Myth & Maker lantern or want to build their collection over time.

  • Due to the custom nature of our products, we generally do not accept returns. However, if there’s an issue with your order, reach out - we’re human, and we’ll make it right when possible.

  • Custom work may be available on a limited basis. If you have a specific idea in mind, contact us through the site to start the conversation.

  • With many of the lanterns, you can install them in any order that is pleasing to you, with the exception of the door panel.

    Narrative panels, need to be installed in the order that matches your particular panel set. For example, each panel may be another layer to a story and will need to be installed in a certain order. Other lanterns may have 2 panels that once joined create an additional image. There need to be installed accordingly. Always check product descriptions if unsure.

  • Yes. the panels have a narrower frame at the top and a wider frame at the bottom. Once installed, the frame seams should match around the lantern, if you find a panel isnt lining up or matching with others try flipping it and check to see if it then lines up. Also check to make sure panels are completely seated in the channels. Pushing one panel in all the way, and the next panel may feel a little tighter fit and only seated ½ way into the channel causing the frames to look uneven. Work the panel in and out a few times and the fit should loosen and you can firmly seat the panel all the way down into the channel.
